First Global Metal Conference

For those that missed it, the world's first global conference on metal was held in Nov. 3 to Nov. 5 in Salzburg, Austria... The event, named "Heavy Fundamentalisms - Music, Metal and Politics" has also a Web site in which you can find papers by various participants, including Pierre Hecker from Germany, who has done valuable research spanning years on metal music in Muslim countries...
